Only two Meet Me on Main events remain until the close of 2020. As the holiday season and a new year approaches, the Carmel Arts & Design District wants to show how grateful it is for the Carmel community, from its small businesses to its local residents, guests and fellow city departments for the support of the District.
Meet Me on Main returns from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14 in the Carmel Arts & Design District, featuring live music, opportunities to win $100 gift cards, children’s crafts and much more. You can also follow along virtually on the Carmel Arts & Design District’s Facebook page where this month’s interviews will feature Juniper on Main, Bask on Main and Luxury Cakes from 5 to 5:45 p.m.
This month’s features include the following:
Meet Me on Main monthly drawing: Three $100 gift cards, redeemable at businesses in the Arts & Design District, will be given away. Stop into any participating gallery or business to fill out an entry form. Only one form per person can be filled out at each location, but the more businesses visited, the better the chance of winning. There is no purchase necessary to participate.

Make and Take craft: The Art Lab invites visitors to create a gratitude tree. Create an unforgettable craft with items from nature and messages of gratitude. There is no cost for this craft and no registration is required. The make and take “to-go” art project will be available from 5 to 8:30 p.m. or until supplies last in the Sophia Square breezeway, located by Vitality Bowls on Main Street.
Musical entertainment: Music will be provided throughout the District featuring Kasey King, Dianna Davis and Jeff Reed, who will be performing live from 5 to 9 p.m.
Special Gallery Exhibits
All Things Carmel: Local artist Carol Skinner will be on hand to demonstrate her art. All Things Carmel has acquired all of her historical sketches which are on sale now at the store. Also featured: Carmel Clay Historical Society will be promoting this year’s virtual Holiday Home Tour. (110 W. Main St., #140)
Carmel Art on Main Gallery: The front gallery features artist Jerry Points and Fine Art Photographer, Marie Reamer. Points’ paintings have been recognized with honors from the Hoosier Salon, Indiana Heritage, and Indiana Artists exhibitions. Recently, his painting, “Rainbow Woods,” was purchased for inclusion in the Greater Lafayette Museum’s permanent collection. Reamer has been exhibiting and selling her photographs in the Arts & Design District and other areas of Indiana for more than 12 years. This exhibit, titled “Paris Revisited in Black White,” revisits photographs from several trips to her favorite city, Paris, and presents them in 256 shades of gray. (111 W. Main St., #140)
CCA Gallery: Two artists will be featured: Kenneth Keifer and Lily Pai. Since before his days as a high school yearbook photographer, Keifer has loved photography. His award-winning work has been featured in USA Today, CNN Travel, Pure Michigan, Visit Indiana travel guides, multiple websites, television shows and commercials, and in churches in all 50 states and around the world. Pai is a chartered architect with an international portfolio who believes in creating elegant lifestyles through simplicity, comfort and individuality. Her jewelry design, which she has been pursuing since 2006, effortlessly blends the versatility of metals with unique ideas to create distinct and timeless works of art. (111 W. Main St., #135)
Evan Lurie Gallery: New exhibit opens featuring works by native Hoosier sculpture artist, Ray Gross, who showcases his larger than life tubes of paint sculptures. With more than 40 artists already represented, Lurie is continually networking within the international art community and seeking out dynamic up-and-coming talent that embodies the highest degree of excellence to bring to the gallery. Indiana Artisan: Modern-day photographer JD Nolan uses yesterday’s technology to create stunning, large format, black-and-white images: a box camera and a wet darkroom. Meet him and learn more about his photography style and what inspires him. There will also be a sampling station in the store that evening featuring Abbott’s Candies, the oldest candy company in Indiana, offering soft, buttery caramels to all. (22 N. Range Line Road)
