The Indiana Peony Festival (IPF) established the Indiana Peony Trail in 2021 to celebrate the beauty of the state flower while promoting community engagement, beautification, and environmental sustainability.
By creating peony gardens throughout Noblesville at various businesses, public buildings, parks, and nonprofit locations, IPF has transformed the city into a premier destination for peony lovers.
To enhance our trail, SMC Corporation of America teamed up with us to develop the Peony Passport, an innovative tool to learn more about peonies. The passport is available physically and digitally. It serves as a guide for peony enthusiasts to easily navigate the trail, discover the various peony varieties, and track their progress along the way. The idea was created to give peony enthusiasts more exposure to our state flower outside of festival weekend. By offering this amazing program, we’re able to beautify our community and offer education to new and/or returning peony fans.
With the aid of the Peony Passport, you’ll see a wide variety of peonies and learn more about our precious state flower. Interested in a physical passport? Starting May 1, pick up a physical passport at one of our four exclusive locations or begin your experience virtually by visiting any spot on the Peony Trail:
- Noblesville Ace Hardware – 603 Westfield Road
- Just Lagom Boutique – 876 Logan St.
- East Bank Apartments – 490 Maple St.
- Promenade Trails – 17780 Navigator Trail
Locations are listed by zone to make it easier to find other locations in close proximity to one another, helping you see as many locations as possible. Seek out the special Indiana Peony Trail signs with QR codes in each designated spot. Lastly, scan the QR codes for details about the varieties of peonies planted in each location and what other locations are close by to visit.
So, grab a group and grab a passport and see where the peonies take you this spring! We hope you enjoy the trail and peonies just as much as we do.
