The Hamilton County Republican Party Annual Fall Dinner at 502 East Event Center, Carmel on Monday, Oct. 24, was a sold-out event. According to Hamilton County GOP Chair Mario Massillamany, with 550 people in attendance it was the largest party fall dinner in the state this year as of press time.

The event was billed as “An evening with our mayors,” and included a Q&A moderated by Massillamany. The evening overall was filled with high energy and positive messaging.

During the Q&A there was some good-natured joking and polite jabs between the mayors. The Reporter tips its hat to both Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen for referring to Ruoff Music Center as “Deer Creek,” and also to Mayor Westfield Andy Cook for asking “Young Chris” if he was even born when it was still called Deer Creek.

Paul Hevesy served as master of ceremonies. Hamilton County Clerk Kathy Kreag Williams gave the invocation and Rep. Chris Jeter led the pledge of allegiance. Speakers included Congresswoman Victoria Spartz, Indiana House Speaker Todd Huston, State Treasurer Candidate Daniel Elliott, Auditor Tera Klutz, Secretary of State Candidate Diego Morales, Hamilton County Commissioner Steve Dillinger, and Mayors Jim Brainard, Andy Cook, Scott Fadness and Chris Jensen.

Many speakers stressed the importance of getting out to vote and encouraging family, friends, neighbors to do the same.
