Putting PEOPLE FIRST is so easy for me because it’s what I have done my entire adult life. I’m tired of politicians talking about fixing problems – I’m ready to get to work to solve them. The people of Indiana need more opportunities to build a life that they can be proud of. That is why I am running for Indiana State Representative, House District 29.
I am passionate about workforce development and education. I have witnessed first-hand what it means to give people the opportunity to succeed in our community through skills-based trades. You want to talk about making America great? That’s what these folks do every single day. Yes, many people find success by attending college. However, there is more than one way to become successful, and not attending college doesn’t make people’s accomplishments any less meaningful.
As president of Gaylor Electric, I had the unique opportunity of watching craft men and women from around the country put their skills to the test during the Associated Builders and Contractors National Craft Championships (NCC) held recently in Long Beach, Calif. During the NCC, more than 170 craft professionals competed against each other to be named the best apprentice in the country.
Gaylor Electric is proud to have had two employees recognized during the competition: Lucas Anderson, who earned a second-place finish in the Apprentice Competition for Instrumentation, and Richard Brown, one of Noblesville’s own, took home the prestigious Craft Professional of the Year award – which recognizes the best of the best in construction professionals! Both Anderson and Brown are great examples of people who started at the ground-level and, through hard-work and training, progressed into award-winning electrical professionals.
As your State Representative, I want you to know that I believe in you and will focus on growing workforce programs in our community so that District 29 serves as an example to all Hoosiers as to what’s possible when residents and businesses come together. We have great people in our district and I believe, together, we can do more to establish opportunities for workforce development and education.
I will serve you and will work in the best interests of our district. I do not expect taxpayers to pay me to serve them. If elected, my government salary will be donated to helping people in need in Noblesville, Fishers and throughout District 29.
