The Westfield boys golf team triumphed at the South Knox Golf Invitational earlier this week.
The Shamrocks, ranked No. 1 in the final coaches poll of the season, won the two-day tournament with a 36-hole score of 574. Westfield totaled 288 Monday on the first day of the event, then scored 286 on the second day.
Will Harvey put together a spectacular round, going under par both days for medalist honors with a 134. Harvey scored a two under 68 in the first round and totaled a four under 66 in the second round. Jake Cesare was even par 70 on Monday and scored a one under 69 in his second round for a total of 139, placing him third individually.
Hamilton Southeastern placed second as a team with 589. Mattingly Upchurch led the Royals by scoring 143 over both days. Guerin Catholic totaled 601, finishing fifth as a team. Leo Wessel led the Golden Eagles with 144.
