WESTFIELD – It was a lovely afternoon and evening for golf at The Bridgewater on Tuesday, which welcomed four Hamilton County teams for the Bridgewater Invitational.
All four teams are ranked in the top 10 of the latest Indiana High School Golf Coaches Association poll and they all played like it. No. 4-ranked Westfield climbed to the top, scoring a 289 to win the invitational.
No. 9 Noblesville and No. 2 Guerin Catholic each scored 298s, with the Millers taking second place on the fifth-man score. No. 10 Carmel totaled a 313.
The Shamrocks were led by medalist Jake Cesare, who scored a three-under par 68. Westfield had a very consistent day, as Will Harvey totaled a 72 and Ryan Cesare finished with a 73.
“Jake’s been hitting it great, and couldn’t be happier with his play,” said ‘Rocks coach Josh Bryant. “We talked about starting strong and he did. Will played solid.”
Drew Werkley was the low man for Noblesville with a 71, while Leo Wessel carded a 71 for the Golden Eagles. Noah Johnson and Noah Husk each had 79s for the Greyhounds.
Team scores: Westfield 289, Noblesville 298, Guerin Catholic 298, Carmel 313.
Medalist: Jake Cesare (W) 68.

Carmel scores: Noah Johnson 77, Noah Husk 77, Ethan Hoagland 79, Dillon Walworth 80, Ocean Permana 82, Alex Gardner 85.

Guerin Catholic was playing its second big tournament in as many days, as the Golden Eagles traveled to Eagle Creek on Monday for the Circle City Conference meet.
Guerin Catholic won the conference title with a score of 293. Eli Wessel was the meet medalist with a round of 68, while Berglund took the runner-up spot with a 71. Both were named to the All-Conference team.
Leo Wessel was next with a 76, followed by Burt with 78 and Parenteau with 80.
“I think we played pretty solid golf,” said GC coach Mark Matthews. “Leo played extremely well.”

Hamilton Southeastern, the No. 1-ranked team in the state, won the Danville Invitational last Saturday at Twin Lakes.
The Royals scored 291. Mattingly Upchurch won medalist honors with a 72, with Nate Benson also carding a 72. Kai Warner scored a 73, Vijeet Akala carded a 74 and Jordan Huxford scored a 78.
Southeastern won the Mudsock meet over Fishers on Tuesday 146-158.

Hamilton Heights won a three-way meet Monday at Bear Slide.
The Huskies scored 172 to Frankton’s 174 and Sheridan’s 205. Nathan Cox scored a 40, followed by Drew Woodruff 42, Kole Kirtley 43, Caleb Sullivan 47, Ethan Millsaps 48 and Chad Long 49.
Nathan Hinshaw was the Blackhawks’ low man with a 46. Tyler Garner, Parker Williams and Zach Phillips all had 53.
Heights dropped a dual meet to Tipton 176-184 on Tuesday. Kirtley led the Huskies with 43; other scores were Woodruff 46, Millsaps 47, Cox 48, Long 53 and Sullivan 56.
