Golf: Several Hamilton County golfers place in Top 5 at Junior Tour Championship

The Indiana Golf Association’s Howard Bailey Junior Golf Program conducted the Junior Tour Championship July 30 at The Players Club in Yorktown.

Westfield’s Connor Trice had the top placement of Hamilton County golfers at the meet, placing second in the Boys 16-19 division. Trice, a senior at Guerin Catholic, scored a three under 69 for the championship, making four birdies.

Two other county golfers made the top five. Carmel junior Noah Johnson placed third with a two under 70 (four birdies) and Hamilton Southeastern junior Mattingly Upchurch tied for fourth with a one under 71 (five birdies).

In the Girls 13-15 division, Carmel sophomore Maddie Headlee finished third with a score of 78, making one birdie during her round.
