Golf: HSE wins three duals

The Hamilton Southeastern boys golf has had an outstanding week, winning three dual meets.
On Monday, the No. 7-ranked Royals beat New Palestine 157-190. Cole Starnes was the medalist with a 36, followed by Nate Benson with a 39 and Vijeet Akala with a 40. Kane Zedrick and Tyler Lacy both had 42s.
Southeastern edged out Cathedral 155-156 in a Tuesday meet at Maple Creek Country Club. Zedrick scored a 37, with Starnes carding a 38. Lacy, Jake Meiling and Benson all scored 40s.
The Royals beat Pendleton Heights 151-174 on Wednesday. Dillon Letendre scored a 34 for medalist honors.

Guerin Catholic won an all-county 18-hole match over Carmel 291-319 Tuesday at Prairie View Golf Club.
Jacob Modleski led the top-ranked Golden Eagles with a 68. The No. 5 Greyhounds were led by Sam Booth with a 76. Shoji Fujita, Patrick Michael and Joe Armfield all had 81s, followed by JD Wrightsman 82, Kent Fujita 84 and Owen Sander 85.

Fishers, ranked No. 14, beat Pendleton Heights 155-166 in a Tuesday dual meet.
The Tigers’ Conner McMillan earned medalist honors with a 37.

Hamilton Heights won a Tuesday dual meet over Western Boone 180-182 at Bear Slide.
The Huskies’ Garrett James was a co-medalist with the Stars’ Luke Marsh; both had 39s. Vincent Harley was next with a 46, followed by Ethan Millsaps with 47 and Nathan Cox with 48.

University beat Tri-West 180-204 in a Tuesday dual meet.
Ben Ewer carded a 42 to earn co-medalist honors, followed by Andrew Dickerson with a 48. Dickerson has made a birdie in each of his last two matches.
