Golden Eagles sail past Cardinal Ritter

Guerin Catholic put together a dominant performance on Thursday, sailing past Cardinal Ritter 61-30 in an away game.
The Golden Eagles outscored the Raiders in all four quarters, leading 11-6 after the first period and 27-13 at halftime. Hannah Weitzel therw in two 3-pointers during the second quarter, and added another basket for eight points.
Kathryn Loso stepped up during the third quarter, pouring in 11 points and helping Guerin Catholic to a 21-point period. The Golden Eagles led 48-21 after three.
Loso led the way with 19 points; she made all eight of her field goal attempts and all three of her free throws. Weitzel finished the game with three 3-pointers and 11 points. Katie Koger added eight and Megan Cobb drained two 3s for six points. Koger also made a 3-pointer.
Guerin Catholic is 3-1 and returns to the Eagles Nest on Saturday afternoon to play Heritage Christian. It will be the first Circle City Conference game of the season for both teams.
