Golden Eagles overwhelm Danville

Guerin Catholic scored an overwhelming road victory on Friday, beating Danville 82-52.

The Class 3A No. 3 Golden Eagles led 22-8 after the first quarter, then moved ahead 45-22 by halftime. Guerin Catholic outscored the Warriors in each of the four periods, leading 65-40 after three.

Bryson Cardinal had another dominant game, scoring 30 points and pulling eight rebounds. Ryne Paris added 12 points and Jack Toles collected five rebounds. The Golden Eagles had 23 assists on 32 baskets; Hayden Rogers led with six assists, followed by Jake Grissom with five and Malcolm Houze with four.

Guerin Catholic is 18-4 and plays at Roncalli next Saturday to finish Circle City Conference play.
