Guerin Catholic’s boys basketball team got a good road win at Indianapolis Washington Thursday, 59-40.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 14-5 lead after one quarter, then extended that advantage to 27-13 at halftime. Guerin Catholic kept up the pace in the third period, leading 46-20 late in the quarter for its largest lead of the game.
Three Golden Eagles players reached double figures, led by Kamea Chandler’s 13 points. Bryson Cardinal added 11 points, while Robert Sorensen scored 10. Chandler and Lucas Parker both made three 3-pointers. Cardinal led the rebounds with seven, while Sorensen dished out four assists. Parker and Sanders both collected four rebounds.
Guerin Catholic is 13-8 and plays its next game Friday, Feb. 17, a Circle City Conference game at Roncalli.
