Guerin Catholic fell to Covenant Christian 54-48 Friday in an away Circle City Conference game.
The Golden Eagles led 10-8 after the first quarter and 24-17 at halftime, but the Warriors took over in the second half, outscoring Guerin Catholic 37-24. The loss drops the Golden Eagles to 1-3 in the conference.
Bernie McGuinness scored 18 points and pulled six rebounds, while Joseph Bobilya had 10 points and six rebounds. Matt Parenteau collected seven rebounds, with Kian Sills grabbing five. Luke Godfrey handed out five assists and Bobilya dished out four.
The Golden Eagles are 8-6 and are scheduled to play at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Martinsville, weather permitting.
