The Guerin Catholic girls dropped a Class 3A Sectional 25 semifinal to Tri-West 42-36 Friday at Lebanon’s Rosenstihl Gymnasium.
The Golden Eagles got off to a strong start, leading 16-7 after the first quarter. Annie Murphy had two 3-pointers in the opening period. The Bruins came back in the second quarter, cutting GC’s lead to 24-21 by halftime. Tri-West jumped ahead 32-29 after three periods, then outscored the Golden Eagles 10-8 in the fourth.
Murphy totaled three 3s and finished with 11 points. Ava Bills had 10 points, scoring in each quarter.
Guerin Catholic completed its season with a 10-11 record.
