Golden Eagles drop home game to New Pal

Guerin Catholic dropped a close game to New Palestine Monday, falling 66-60 at the Eagles Nest.
The Golden Eagles led 19-13 after the first quarter and 37-28 at halftime. But the Dragons started their comeback in the third period, cutting Guerin Catholic’s lead to 48-44 by the end of the quarter. New Palestine then outscored GC 22-12 in the fourth.
Kamea Chandler led the Golden Eagles with 18 points, including two 3-pointers, followed by Aden Cannon with 16 points. Jack Cherry, Patrick Baird and Lucas Parker all collected four rebounds, with Baird dishing out four assists and Cherry making two blocked shots.
Guerin Catholic is 10-9 and hosts Indianapolis Washington on Thursday.
