Guerin Catholic dropped its Circle City Conference opener on Saturday, falling to Class 3A No. 5 Heritage Christian 52-33 at the Eagles Nest.
The Golden Eagles trailed 12-5 after the first quarter and 30-20 at halftime. Olivia Labus led the Guerin Catholic scoring with 13 points, including seven in the third period. Nicole Cunningham was next in line with 10 points, all of which was scored in the second quarter. Cunningham also made two 3-pointers. Kathryn Loso added seven points, including a 3-pointer.
The Golden Eagles are 0-4 and are off until Dec. 3 when they host Shortridge.
