Guerin Catholic cruised to a second straight win on Thursday, beating Indianapolis Washington 70-51 in an away game.
The Golden Eagles outscored the Continentals in each of the four quarters, leading 18-14 after the first period. Guerin had a solid defensive second quarter, allowing it to take a 35-22 lead into halftime. The Golden Eagles increased their advantage to 52-35 after three periods.
Four Guerin Catholic players reached double figures, led by Will Grissom’s 18 points and Joseph Bobilya’s 16 points. Both were hot from 3-point range, with Bobilya making five triples and Grissom draining four. Matthew Gillis had 14 points and six rebounds, with Kaleb Edwards adding 10 points. Jack Cherry handed out four assists.
The Golden Eagles are 15-3 and will be off until next Friday, Feb. 19, when they play a Circle City Conference game at Roncalli.
