Guerin Catholic played a roller-coaster game at Indianapolis Washington on Friday, but the Golden Eagles came out on top, winning 65-64.
Guerin Catholic got out to a fantastic start, leading 22-8 after the first period. The Continentals cut GC’s lead to 33-28 by halftime, then took a 47-43 lead after three quarters. But the Golden Eagles scored 22 points in the fourth to get the one-point victory.
Bernie McGuinness led Guerin Catholic with 21 points and nine rebounds. Kian Sills and Josh Osborn both added 11 points. Osborn, Joseph Bobilya and Luke Godfrey all handed out four assists, while Sills made four steals.
The Golden Eagles are 11-9 and play Tuesday at Noblesville.
