Last week, Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard, City Councilor Dr. Tim Hannon, the Broad Ripple Garden Club and National Garden Clubs, Inc. honored families whose loved ones paid the ultimate price defending the United States. The plaque honoring Gold Star Families can be seen at the Gazebo at Carmel City Hall.
