The regular season for girls soccer begins on Saturday, and several teams will be in action.
This includes an all-Hamilton County regular-season matchup. Hamilton Southeastern will host Carmel, last year’s Class 3A runner-up in a noon game. Fishers will also start its regular season that day, taking a trip to McCutcheon for an 11:30 a.m. game.
Meanwhile, two other teams will be playing on Saturday, but not regular-season contests. Hamilton Heights will participate in a Jamboree at Northwestern, while Westfield travels to Cathedral for a scrimmage. The Shamrocks play their season opener Monday evening at home against Lawrence North, while the Huskies start their season Tuesday at Heritage Christian.
Noblesville, last season’s Class 3A state champion, opens its season on Monday by hosting Cathedral. This will be the Senior Night game for the Millers. Finally, Guerin Catholic will start its season Wednesday by hosting Zionsville, while Sheridan is first in action Monday, Aug. 24 at Hamilton Heights.
University is playing an intramural season this year and will not play against other teams.
