Girls soccer: Huskies stay unbeaten

The Hamilton Heights girls soccer team rolled to another win on Tuesday, beating Hoosier Conference opponent Northwestern 8-1.
The Class 2A No. 8 Huskies led 3-1 at halftime. Cassidy Felger scored the first goal, with Ella Hickok making the assist. Hickok scored the second goal, then Natalie Marcum put Heights’ third goal in, off an assist by Emma Hall.
The Huskies picked up the pace in the second half with five goals. Kyndall Ferguson erupted for three goals, assisted by Sarah Toll, Felger and Mady Hutcherson. Felger also scored a goal, with Hickok assisting, then Jayla Logan competed the scoring off a Felger assist. Jenn Houser totaled nine saves as goalkeeper.
Heights is 6-0 for the season and is back in action today at University.

Guerin Catholic, ranked No. 18 in 3A, cruised to a Circle City Conference win on Tuesday by beating Covenant Christian 10-0.
The Golden Eagles scored five goals in each half. Katie Koger put the first goal in the net, then Emersen Jennings added the second goal. Alex Soucie scored the third goal off a cross by Mia Gatz. Koger and Jennings then both scored their second goals of the game to put GC ahead 5-0 at halftime.
Guerin opened its second-half scoring when Alyssa Ferry finished a center kick by Soucie. Koger and Jennings then each added their third goals of the game to put the Golden Eagles ahead 8-0. Soucie put in her second goal to make it 9-0, then Sutton Worman completed the scoring.
Guerin Catholic is 2-1-1 and hosts Roncalli Thursday in another conference contest.
