Girls soccer: Host Noblesville beats Anderson, Carmel takes down Lawrence Central in round 1, Heights falls to Brebeuf Jesuit

The Noblesville girls soccer team won its first-round Sectional 8 game on Tuesday, beating Anderson 10-0.

Meredith Tippner and Brooklyn Gibbons both scored two goals for the Class 3A No. 2 and sectional host Millers. Katelyn Keenan, Delaney Stone, Atley Pittman, Caylee Cunningham, Corynn Fleck and Bree Nelson all scored one goal. Kaydence Fleck and Isabelle Meier each dished out two assists, with Stone and Brielle Siefert making one assist.

Noblesville is 13-0-2 and hosts Mount Vernon Thursday in the first semifinal game of the night. The game starts at 5:30 p.m.

Carmel, ranked No. 3 in 3A, also got a first-round sectional win on Tuesday, beating Lawrence Central 7-0 to open play in Sectional 9 at Zionsville.

Seven different players scored a goal for the Greyhounds: Savannah Hindman, Vaughn Rohrbacher, Olivia Cebalo, Camryn Love, Tilly Kunkle, Isabella Cueto and Elsie Flanders. Five different players made one assist: Rohrbacher, Olivia Ade, Ella Sarson, Anne Keleher and Halle Wellman.

Carmel is 12-3-2 and plays Lawrence North Thursday in the first semifinal, which begins at 5:30 p.m.

Hamilton Heights, ranked No. 16 in 2A, fell to Sectional 26 host and No. 9-ranked Brebeuf Jesuit 3-0 Tuesday in a first-round game.

The Huskies finished their season 11-4-3.
