Girls golf: Three Carmel players make eagles at Plum Creek

Carmel beat Brebeuf Jesuit 152-199 in a Thursday dual meet at Plum Creek Golf Club.
Elizabeth Hedrick posted a one-under par round of 35, including an eagle. Katie Kuc scored a 37, followed by Nina Hecht with 39. Sydney Longstreth carded a 41, also making an eagle. Ava Hedrick scored 42. Chloe Tapnio made an eagle in the junior varsity match.

Westfield dropped matches to No. 1 Zionsville and No. 8 Brownsburg Thursday at West Chase.
The No. 7-ranked Shamrocks scored a 163. Jocelyn Bruch and Natalie Shupe both carded 40s, while Grace Snyder finished with a 41. Cate Jensen and Brette Hanavan each had 42s, Avery Brooks scored 45 and Megan Barker had a 48.
Westfield’s JV team beat Hamilton Southeastern 184-199 in a Thursday match. The Shamrocks’ Alli McEvoy was the medalist with a 43. Other Westfield scores were Claire Ireland 46, Khloe Miller 47, Allie Hildebrand 48 and Mallory Mortl 48. Ellie Cunningham, Serena Lee and Tia Wallace also competed.

Hamilton Heights finished second in a three-way match at Logansport Country Club on Thursday.
The Huskies carded 197, behind Maconaquah’s 175 and ahead of Lewis Cass’ 205. Ellie Arrowood and Kate Biggs both shot 47s. Alyx Harley added a 48, while Elizabeth Havron rounded out the scoring with the 55.

Fishers dropped a dual meet to New Palestine 185-191 on Wednesday.
Kaitlyn Brunnemer and Caitlyn Kim both carded 42s for the Tigers. Haley Gausepohl scored 51, while Lilly McVay had a 56, including her first-ever career birdie. Kaelyn Tai scored a 60.
Fishers will play in the Hall of Fame Classic Saturday at Sandy Pines Golf Club.
