The Westfield girls golf team won a three-team meet Thursday at West Chase Golf Club.
The No. 3-ranked Shamrocks scored 151 to No. 5 Zionsville’s 160 and No. 13 Brownsburg’s 166. Sophie McGinnis led Westfield with a 36; she shared medalist honors with the Eagles’ Lauren Kaltenmark.
Other Shamrocks scores were Allie Hildebrand 37, Natalie Shupe 30, Brette Hanavan 39, Cate Jensen 40, Grace Snyder 43 and Alli McEvoy 48.
Westfield will play at the Broncho Invite on Saturday.
Carmel scored an overwhelming win over Cathedral on Thursday, 155-202.
The No. 4 Greyhounds’ Katie Kuc was the meet medalist with an even-par 36. Ava Hedrick carded a 39, while Sydney Longstreth and Ava Nguyen both had 40s. Elizabeth Hedrick scored a 42.
“What a difference a day makes,” said Carmel coach Kelly Kluesner. “The team was determined to play their best and that’s exactly what they did. I’m proud of the way we recovered from missed shots and took advantage of some great scoring opportunities tonight.”
University won a dual meet at Wood Wind, edging out Park Tudor 207-210.
Sophomore Becky Williams won medalist honors again with a 42, with freshman Kelsey DuBois right behind her with a 43. The Trailblazers will take a few days off, then play Brebeuf Jesuit and Cardinal Ritter Wednesday at Eagle Creek Golf Club.
Hamilton Southeastern was victorious in a three-team meet Thursday at Valle Vista Golf Course.
The No. 16 Royals scored 177 to Roncalli’s 185 and Greenwood’s 207. Amber Luttrell won medalist honors with a 41, followed by Maggie Watson with 42, Ashley Marcinko with 46 and Payton Schechter with a 48. Abby Strawmeyer scored 48 in her first-ever varsity meet.
Hamilton Heights nosed out Maconaquah to win a three-team meet Thursday at Bear Slide.
The Huskies scored 198 to the Braves’ 199, with Lewis Cass carding a 240. Sydni Zebrauskas led Heights with a 46, followed by Ellie Arrowood’s 48. Kaylee Rhoton and Rebekah Steffen both carded 52s.
Noblesville scored a nice victory over Greenfield-Central Thursday night, winning 150-185 at Hawks Tail Golf Club.
The No. 15 Millers’ Ellie Karst was medalist with a 35, followed closely by Sarah Brenneman’s 36 and Caroline Whallon’s 37. Other Noblesville scores were Taylor Caldwell 42, Mia Sommervold 42, Bella Deibel 45, Erin Burt 45 and Sophi Stutz 49.
