After starting two weeks ago, the Hoosier Crossroads Conference girls golf meet finally finished up Monday at Bear Slide Golf Club.
It was worth the wait for Westfield, as the No. 2-ranked Shamrocks won the conference title with a score of 299. Westfield had the top two individual golfers: Sam Brown was the meet medalist with a 71, and Sophie McGinnis took runner-up honors with a 72.
Allie Hildebrand carded a 77, Addi Kooi scored 79 and Brette Hanavan had 85 (including two back-nine birdies). All five of the above-mentioned Shamrocks earned All-Conference honors.
“I am so proud of our team for fighting through some early struggles that we had today and to still post a great team score,” said Westfield coach Trevor Neu. “It is great for our team to have five players earn All-Conference and repeat as Conference Champs. It is no easy task to do that in our conference.”
No. 6-ranked Hamilton Southeastern finished as the runner-up team with a score of 316. Yanah Rolston placed third individually with a 74, while Marissa Spreitzer was fourth with a 77. Both received All-Conference honors, as did Lauren Stewart (82) and Cora Zink (84).
No. 8-ranked Noblesville placed third with a score of 340. Caroline Whallon led the Millers with an 80, also earning All-Conference honors.
Fishers took sixth place by scoring a 371. Lilly McVay picked up All-Conference honors after her round of 83.

Medalist: Sam Brown (Westfield) 71.

Fishers scores: Lilly McVay 83, Olivia Holding 89, Kristi Lilek 97, Sarah Majeski 102, Megan Lapp 111, Hayleigh Hemminger 114.
Noblesville won a dual meet with Guerin Catholic Tuesday at Harbour Trees.
The Millers scored 168 to the Golden Eagles’ 187. The Millers’ Caroline Whallon and the Golden Eagles’ Christina Pfefferkorn were co-medalists with a score of 38. Other Noblesville scores were Sophi Stutz 42, Karis Shields 44 and Olivia Anderson 44.
University won a three-team meet Monday at Frankfort Commons Golf Club.
The No. 11-ranked Trailblazers scored 162 to Clinton Prairie’s 231 and Clinton Central’s 233. University swept the top five individual positions, led by Becky Williams’ 38. It was Williams’ seventh medalist honor of the season. Also scoring for the ‘Blazers were Sydni Zebrauskas 39, Abby Bladen 41, Kelsey DuBois 44 and Vivian Suh 47.
Hamilton Heights finished third at the Hoosier Conference meet on Saturday.
The Huskies scored a 375. All five players broke 100 and finished in the top 15. Ashlyn Tharp, Anna Rickey and Ashlyn Fletcher all earned All-Conference honors, with Kaylee Rhoton and Lola Wilson receiving Honorable Mention.
On Tuesday, Heights won a dual meet with Frankton at Meadow Brook in Anderson, 179-209. Rhoton was the meet medalist with a 42. Other scores were Tharp 43, Wilson 44, Fletcher 50 and Carley Koors 51.
