Girls golf: Millers, Tigers get dual meet victories

The Noblesville girls golf team won a dual meet with New Palestine Thursday at Edgewood Golf Club.
The Millers scored 182 to the Dragons’ 200. Bella Deibel led Noblesville with a 44, followed by Taylor Caldwell 45, Mia Sommervold 46, Amanda Packard 47, Ellie Karst 48 and Sarah Brenneman 49.
The Millers will play at the Western Invitational Saturday at Chippendale Golf Club.
Meanwhile, Noblesville’s junior varsity team played Westfield in a Thursday meet at Harbour Trees Golf Club. The Shamrocks won 182-199.
Westfield’s Brette Hanavan and Allie Hildebrand tied for medalist honors with 45. Khloe Miller scored 46, followed by Alli McEvoy 48, Avery Brooks 53, Mallory Mortl 54, Claire Ireland 55 and Serena Lee 62.
Scores for the Millers were Ellen Bennett 45, Sophie Stutz 48, Sydney Peck 52 and Alexi Curts 54.
The JV Shamrocks will play at the Lapel Invitational on Saturday. Noblesville’s JV team hosts Zionsville on Monday at Harbour Trees.

Fishers won its first meet of the season, beating North Central 180-186 on Thursday at Gray Eagle Golf Club.
Kaitlyn Brunnemer led the Tigers with a 42, finishing with two pars. Caitlyn Kim carded a 44, making a clutch putt on her last hole. Haley Gausepohl and Lilly McVay both had 47s (a personal best for McVay), while Kaelyn Tai also scored a personal best with 53.
Fishers will play at the Western Invitational on Saturday.

Hamilton Heights hosted Tipton and Pendleton Heights Thursday at Bear Slide Golf Club in a three-team meet.
The No. 17-ranked Blue Devils won with a score of 180, followed by the Arabians with 195 and the Huskies with 208. Kate Biggs led Heights with a 44, followed by Ellie Arrowood 51, Alyx Harley 56, Veronica Meredith 57, Elizabeth Havron 59 and Rebekah Steffen 61.
