The Fishers girls golf team had its best nine-hole score of the season Wendesday during a dual meet to No. 1-ranked Zionsville Thursday.
The Eagles won the meet 147-179. Kaitlyn Brunnemer led the Tigers with a 40, tying her season best. Haley Gausepohl carded a personal best 42, followed by Caitlyn Kim with 45 and Lilly McVay with 52. Two more Fishers golfers scored personal bests: Kaelyn Tai 53 and Ellie Metzger 61.
The Tigers will play Noblesville Tuesday at Harbour Trees.
University finished second in a three-team match with Brebeuf Jesuit and Cardinal Ritter on Thursday.
The Trailblazers carded a team score of 186. Becky Williams was the medalist with a two-under par 35, her best score of the season. Several other University golfers had their lowest scores of the season as well, including Kylar Kavanaugh, Kenzie Binford, Joella Layman and Molly Bickle.
Hamilton Heights finished second in a three-team meet with Crawfordsville and Frankfort Thursday at Crawfordsville Municipal Golf Course.
The Hot Dogs won with a score of 192, followed by the Huskies’ 204 and the Athenians’ 218. Kate Biggs led Heights with a 46. Rebekah Steffen contributed a solid round of 50. Ellie Arrowood and Alyx Harley rounded out the scoring with a 53 and a 55, respectively.
