Girls golf: Carmel wins Woodland Invitational

The Carmel girls golf team won the Woodland Invitational on Wednesday.
The Greyhounds carded a team score of 150 to Guerin Catholic’s 161 and Brebeuf Jesuit’s 200. Carmel’s Nina Hecht was the meet medalist with a 36, while Katie Kuc scored a 37. Elizabeth Hedrick added a 38, followed by Ava Hedrick 39, Ella Woods 40 and Sydney Longstreth 46.

University played against the Carmel junior varsity Tuesday at Wood Wind.
The teams ended up playing to a 210-210 tie, with the Greyhounds winning on the fifth-woman score.
The Trailblazers were led by Becky Williams in scoring. Junior Kylar Kavanaugh and sophomore Stasia Reinholt both shot their best rounds of the year, with Reinholt carding an impressive 47.
