The Sheridan girls basketball team put together another solid defensive effort on Tuesday.
The Blackhawks won at Frankfort 55-20, extending its win streak to four games. Sheridan blasted through the first quarter to lead 28-3, then was up 39-7 at halftime. The ‘Hawks never allowed the Hot Dogs more than seven points in a quarter and held an opponent to 20 points or less for the second time this season.
Kenzie Garner was all over the place, scoring 23 points, making 10 steals, pulling six rebounds and dishing out five assists. Nova Cross added 12 points. Cecilia Timme had an outstanding defensive game with eight rebounds, five steals and two blocked shots. Sheridan had 25 steals as a team. Mac Smith collected seven rebounds and Makenzy Terry had six rebounds.
The Blackhawks are 4-2 and play at Clinton Central Friday in a Hoosier Heartland Conference girls-boys doubleheader.
