Fishers won its season-opening Hoosier Crossroads Conference game on Tuesday, triumphing at Zionsville 54-43.
The Class 4A No. 8 Tigers got off to a good start, leading 14-8 after the first quarter, and would outscore the Eagles in each period. Fishers led 29-22 at halftime, then added 18 points in the fourth period to seal the game.
Katie Burton had a strong game, scoring 26 points, including three 3-pointers. Audra Emmerson drained a pair of 3s on her way to 12 points, while Olivia Smith scored 10. Hailey Smith collected seven rebounds, with Burton pulling six rebounds.
The Tigers are 6-1 and host Warsaw on Saturday afternoon.

Golden Eagles get comeback victory at Lapel
Guerin Catholic continued its road trip Tuesday with a 49-44 comeback win at Lapel.
The Golden Eagles trailed 13-9 after the first quarter and 25-19 at halftime. Guerin Catholic worked its way back in the third period, cutting the Bulldogs’ lead to 35-34 by the end of the quarter; Olivia Labus scored nine points in that period. The Golden Eagles pulled away in the fourth, outscoring Lapel 15-9.
Labus finished the game with 17 points, while Delaney Klee drained two 3-pointers on her way to 14 points.
Guerin Catholic is 2-2 and plays next Tuesday at Shortridge.

‘Hawks pull away from WeBo
Sheridan finished its season-opening road trip on Tuesday with a 49-34 victory at Western Boone.
The Blackhawks led 8-7 after the first quarter, then pulled away in the second period to take a 26-11 lead at halftime. Sheridan increased its advantage further in the third quarter, finishing that period with a 43-18 lead.
Allie Delph scored 11 points for the ‘Hawks, while Taylor Bates added 10 points.
Sheridan improved to 2-1 with the win.
The Blackhawks’ game with Frankfort next Tuesday has been canceled. Sheridan is next scheduled to play on Saturday, Dec. 5, hosting Clinton Prairie.
