Girls basketball is on the horizon, and it will be another busy season for Hamilton County teams.
Practices started on Monday, and teams can begin playing games the week of Oct. 29. The first team to take to the court will be Westfield; the Shamrocks play at Lapel on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Hamilton Heights opens its season on Wednesday, Oct. 31 by hosting Brownsburg. Two teams tip off on Thursday, Nov. 1: Noblesville hosts Lawrence North at The Mill, while Guerin Catholic welcomes Lebanon to the Eagles Nest.
Three teams open play on Saturday, Nov. 3. Carmel will host Homestead in an afternoon game. Fishers and Hamilton Southeastern will begin at the Ben Davis Classic. The Royals play the host Giants at 10 a.m., with the Tigers taking on Southport immediately afterwards. In the afternoon, HSE plays Southport and Fishers plays Ben Davis.
Sheridan and University will start their seasons on Tuesday, Nov. 6, both on the road. The Blackhawks will play at Indianapolis Lighthouse Charter, while the Trailblazers head to Park Tudor.
