Noblesville Schools announced Tuesday that it has promoted Angie Gingerich to the role of principal of North Elementary effective July 1, 2025. She will replace Rob Lugo, who is retiring at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

Gingerich brings 25 years of experience in education at Noblesville Schools, including her most recent role as the assistant principal of North Elementary since 2018.

“Angie has been a strong leader and we are very confident that she is ready to take on the role of principal,” said Dr. Heather Hendrich, assistant superintendent of human resources and safety for Noblesville Schools. “We’re excited to see her make her mark on the special culture at North.”

“I am honored and excited to step into the role of principal at North Elementary,” Gingerich said. “It’s a true privilege to be part of such an exceptional school community and I look forward to fostering strong relationships, upholding our tradition of excellence, and collaborating with students, families, and staff. I am sincerely grateful to Rob Lugo for his outstanding dedication, leadership and service.”

Gingerich holds a master’s degree in technology education and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, both from Ball State University, as well as a principal licensure from Purdue University.

North Elementary will begin considering candidates to fill the assistant principal vacancy soon.
