Fishers-based Youth Mentoring Initiative (YMI) will hold its annual Mayor’s Breakfast to Benefit YMI, presented by Heartland Church, on Thursday, Aug. 29. The fundraising event directly benefits YMI’s mission to connect Hamilton Southeastern School District students with a volunteer mentor once a week.
The event will feature a fireside chat between Mayor Scott Fadness and Marissa Andretti, Vice President of Andretti Global and Managing Director for Andretti Technologies.
Andretti is currently spearheading the build of the new Andretti Global Headquarters in Fishers, a state-of-the-art 575,000 square-foot facility that will house Andretti Global’s current racing teams and serve as a key destination for the greater Indianapolis area. She also leads the team’s sustainability initiatives as well as the team’s philanthropic endeavors via The Michael Andretti Foundation.
“On behalf of the entire Board and staff, we are excited to hear from Marissa and learn more about the impact Andretti Global is and will continue to have on our community,” YMI Executive Director Brittany Rayburn said. “With Andretti Global’s long history of growth, success, and community support, we know she and Mayor Fadness will inspire many in our audience to get involved and make their own impact.”
The event will also feature a panel of school personnel, mentors, and family members directly impacted by YMI’s recent program expansion to elementary schools within HSE Schools.
The ninth annual Mayor’s Breakfast to Benefit YMI will be held from 7 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 at the new theater at Fishers City Hall. As one of the largest annual fundraisers for YMI, all money raised directly support connecting more Hamilton Southeastern students to a caring adult mentor. Tickets and sponsorships are still available here.
