As summer winds down, Grace Church and The Grace Care Center are gearing up to support local families with the annual Back-to-School Community Fair.

This Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m. to noon, Grace Church will equip students and families with the essentials they need for a successful academic year while providing a fun and supportive environment for the entire community.

The Community Fair is a celebration of community spirit and generosity. With thousands expected to attend and over 1,500 backpacks and shoes to give away, the fair is a testament to Grace Church’s commitment to helping families in need.

Here’s a glimpse of what attendees can expect:

Free supplies & services

Shoes, backpacks, and school supplies: Every student deserves to start the school year with confidence. The fair will distribute more than 1,500 new shoes, backpacks, and a variety of school supplies to ensure students are prepared for the year ahead.
Grace Care Center and Thrift Store Access: Open from 9 a.m. to noon, the Grace Care Center and Thrift Store will provide attendees with access to their choice food pantry and other essential resources.
Free haircuts and school physicals: Professional stylists and healthcare providers will be on-site offering free haircuts and school physicals to help students start the year looking and feeling their best.

Family fun & more

Carnival games, food, and snacks: The Community Fair is all about fun. Participants will enjoy a range of carnival games and indulge in free food and snacks, making it a perfect family outing on a July summer Saturday morning.
Bike repairs and giveaways: Bring your bikes for free repairs and don’t miss the chance to win a brand-new bike through drawings and giveaways.

Everyone is invited to the Community Fair. Whether you’re coming to receive support, shop at the Grace Thrift Store, or simply enjoy the festivities, your presence and participation help strengthen the community.

As Marcus Casteel said, “The Care Center Community Fair helps to prepare thousands of kids for school. Kids get to choose everything from their backpack to all the supplies that goes inside along with their new shoes. It’s fun to see the excitement on their faces as they walk around showing off their new items. We work very hard to provide the choice environment allowing them to select what works for them. The carnival games, food, face paint, and balloons allow this to be a fun event for everyone involved. This truly is one of our favorite days of the year!”
