Get jolly with Fishers Parks and Recreation

Fishers Parks and Recreation can help you, your family and your four-legged friends get in the holiday spirit during early December.

The first tour opportunity is from 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Winter Wonderland at Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, 6 Municipal Drive. Admission is free.

Celebrate the start of the holiday season at Fishers’ jolliest event of the year. Families of all ages will delight in free children’s activities, ice carving demonstrations, a petting zoo, live music from Fishers Music Works and more.

Stick around for the highlight of the evening, the annual tree lighting taking place at 6 p.m. A sensory-friendly area will also be available at the event for children and families with special needs.

Don’t forget to bring a pair or children’s or adult’s socks to donate to the Winter Wonderland Sock Drive benefiting Good Samaritan Network.

Special thanks to our sponsors, Fishers Martial Arts, Hamilton East Public Library, Nickel Plate Arts and Sambol’s Tree Farm.

The following weekend, Saturday, Dec. 8, its time for Pet Pictures with Santa from 1 to 5 p.m. at Nickel Plate District Amphitheater.

Your furry friend deserves a visit with Santa Paws. Bring your fur babies for a free photo with St. Nick inside the Pavilion at the Nickel Plate District AMP. Printed photos will be available on site for purchase by Smiling Dog Photography. No registration is required.
