Get help surviving holiday season with Noblesville First UMC’s GriefShare program

When you’re grieving the death of a family member or friend, you may dread the holiday season. Thoughts of social gatherings, family traditions and obligations leave you anxious and overwhelmed.

Have you lost a loved one or know someone who will find it difficult to face the coming holidays? GriefShare Surviving the Holidays seminar, held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16 in Wesley Hall at Noblesville First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument St., offers practical, actionable strategies for making it through the holiday season. This seminar will be open to anyone experiencing grief after the loss of a loved one. The program offers practical, actionable strategies for making it through the holiday season. At this two-hour seminar, you’ll view a video featuring advice from people in grief who’ve faced the holidays after their loss. Facilitators who have experienced grief-filled holidays will lead attendees in discussion of how to manage all holidays and special dates in your life now.

This program is free and no registration is necessary. Invite your family, friends and neighbors who are struggling through grief. All attendees will receive a Holiday Survival Guide with over 30 encouraging readings, helpful charts and tips to manage the holiday season during this difficult time.
