Westfield Welcome will continue to offer special programming at Grand Junction Plaza this summer. In partnership with the Westfield YMCA, Workout Wednesdays is a series of fitness classes taking place at the Plaza.
Workout Wednesdays will be offered from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday from June 1 through Aug. 3 in the Wetland Amphitheatre at Grand Junction Plaza, 225 S. Union St. There will be three different types of classes offered through the summer including HIIT, which is an effective and quick total body workout; Cardio, which is a fun, fast-paced class combining cardio exercises with body weight; and Flow, which combines yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates to help build flexibility and leaves the participant centered and calm.
“Our team continues to look for ways to engage with the community through different programming at Grand Junction Plaza,” Westfield Welcome Director Kayla Arnold said. “When we asked for feedback through a survey earlier this year, fitness offerings continued to be a program that people were interested in. We are excited to partner with the Westfield Y to provide these classes free of charge.”
