Hear from distinguished women leaders as they share their wisdom
The Carmel Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will present an inspiring panel discussion and chamber music performance from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22 in the Community Room of the Carmel Clay Public Library, 425 E. Main St. This engaging event highlights the experiences of women leaders across industries with a focus on resilience, confidence, and the transformative power of the arts.
“The Next Era of Leadership: Women Rising, Thriving, and Leading” is sponsored by Reis Nichols Jewelers, City of Carmel, The Payne & Mencias Palladium at the Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts, and Pedcor Companies.
The event will commence with opening remarks by Jamia Jacobsen, Chair of the Education and Outreach Committee for CSO, followed by an exceptional chamber music performance by the all-female Carmel Symphony Orchestra Wind Quintet, featuring:
- Monika Spangler, flute
- Emily Cook, clarinet
- Lisa Kozenko, oboe
- Kathleen Moniaci, bassoon
- Sharon Weyser, horn
The musical program features these women composers:
- “Red Clay and Mississippi Delta” by Valerie Colman
- “Choral et Deux Variations” by Germaine Tailleferre
- “Invocation” by Marie Clemence de Grandaval, arr. Emily Cook
Following the musical performance, a distinguished panel of accomplished women leaders will share insights on leadership in historically male-dominated industries, overcoming imposter syndrome, preventing burnout, and the unique strengths women bring to leadership roles.

This free but ticketed event will include an opportunity for audience Q&A following the panel discussion.
