The Guerin Catholic girls basketball team dropped the Bishop’s Cup game to Lafayette Central Catholic 66-49 Friday at the Eagles Nest.
The Knights led 21-15 after the first quarter, then went ahead 38-24 at halftime. Sydney Geis scored 22 points for the Golden Eagles. Olivia Labus grabbed six rebounds, while Grace Hackett blocked three shots.
Guerin Catholic finished the regular season with a 5-17 record. Next up for the Golden Eagles is a trip to the Brebeuf Jesuit sectional, where GC will play the host Braves in the second Wednesday game. Tipoff will be around 7:30 p.m., following the 6 p.m. game between Cardinal Ritter and Broad Ripple.
