Guerin Catholic won its fourth straight game on Tuesday, beating Kokomo 62-51 at the Wildkats’ Memorial Gymnasium.
Kokomo led 16-15 after the first quarter before the Golden Eagles pulled ahead 29-18 at halftime. Guerin Catholic then jumped ahead in the third period, holding the Wildkats to seven points while taking a 44-35 lead. The Golden Eagles clinched the game with an 18-point fourth quarter.
Four players reached double figures for GC, starting with Matthew Gillis. He scored 20 points and came close to a double-double with nine rebounds. Kaleb Edwards had 16 points and seven rebounds, while Joseph Bobilya threw in three 3-pointers on his way to 12 points. Will Grissom added 12 points and Matthew Etchison dished out four assists.
The Golden Eagles are 7-1 and host Lebanon on Saturday.
