GC boys win at the Eagles Nest

Guerin Catholic’s boys basketball team used efficient shooting to pull away from Pendleton Heights 51-38 Tuesday at the Eagles Nest.
The Golden Eagles outscored the Arabians in each quarter, slowly building their lead throughout the game. Guerin led 7-4 after the first period and 19-14 at halftime. Bernie McGuinness led the Golden Eagles’ scoring with 11 points.
Luke Godfrey added nine points, while Kian Sills and Matthew Gillis both scored eight. Sills, who announced his commitment to Franklin College on Tuesday, also made two 3-pointers.
As a team, Guerin Catholic shot 64 percent (16 of 25) from the field, and made all 15 of its free throw attempts.
The Golden Eagles are 3-2 and travel to Heritage Christian on Friday for a Circle City Conference game.
