Gaylor Electric achieves Diamond Level recognition through ABC STEP program for world-class safety performance

Gaylor Electric has once again earned Diamond Level recognition from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) through its STEP Safety Management System. This honor represents the highest level of achievement in ABC’s nationally respected safety program and reflects Gaylor Electric’s ongoing commitment to creating safe and productive jobsites across the country.

The STEP program – short for Safety Training and Evaluation Process – has been helping contractors build safer work environments for more than 30 years. Participants are evaluated through a comprehensive assessment of safety practices, policies, and results.

Earning Diamond Level status requires a deep commitment to training, planning, and continuous improvement at every level of an organization. According to ABC’s annual Safety Performance Report, STEP participants, regardless of company size or type of work, can reduce recordable incidents up to 83 percent, making the best-performing companies 576 percent safer than the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics industry average. Ratings range from Diamond, the highest, to Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Participant.
