On Wednesday, Noblesville fire and police departments responded to the scene of a cut gas line in the area of Moontown Road and State Road 32.

A 22-inch gas pipe was leaking and caused officials to establish a cautionary 1,000-foot perimeter around the leak. Representatives of Hamilton County Emergency Management and Noblesville first responders performed a door-to-door evacuation of Villages at Pebble Brook and Cranbrook neighborhoods.

The gas pipe is operated by Eastern Panhandle. The company was able to bleed down the line at a lift station located at State Road 19, just south of Cicero, nearly six miles from the leak.  State Road 19 was closed during the bleed down operation.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
