Gary A. Marker

August 19, 1967 – August 21, 2018

Gary A. Marker, 51, Noblesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, surrounded by his family.  He was born on August 19, 1967 to Ronald and Elaine (Routh) Marker in Fort Wayne.

Gary grew up in Ft. Wayne, attended Paul Harding High School and graduated from Ball State University. He married Tara Hartley on October 6, 1990 and focused much of his time and energy enthusiastically caring for her and their kids, Spencer and Morgan. His love for his family and friends defined him and his spirit of generosity, kindness, humor and service to others lives on.

He was a member of Noblesville First United Methodist and a fan of cycling, woodworking, golfing, traveling, cheering on the Chicago Cubs and supporting his family and friends in their interests. He was an inspiration to all who knew him.

Gary worked in health care consulting for Ernst & Young in Indianapolis for 11 years and was awarded the company’s Innovation Award in 2000 and 2004. He later went on to serve in leadership roles with St. Vincent Ascension and the CORE Finance Team.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tara; his son, Spencer; his daughter, Morgan; his parents, Ron and Elaine; his brothers, Mike (Michelle) and John (Allie); his in-laws, Rick and Linda Hartley; his brother-in-law, Tyler; his nephew, Bohdan; and his nieces, Ellie and Penny.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville.  Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Noblesville First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument St., Noblesville, with an additional visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  Pastor Greg Enstrom will officiate.  Burial will follow the funeral service at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
