Francis Emsley “Sonny” Osborn

March 14, 1944 – January 4, 2020

Francis Emsley “Sonny” Osborn, 75, Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on March 14, 1944 to Francis and Dortha (Taylor) Osborn in Hamilton County.

Sonny was a 1962 graduate of Carmel High School. He farmed for years, drove a tree truck for Ralph Wilfong, and owned A1 Trash Hauling. Sonny enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Hamilton County Fish and Game Gun Club where he was a certified instructor. He was also a certified pistol and rifle instructor and a lifetime member of the NRA.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Cowman; son, Francis “Eddie” Edward Osborn; sister, Martha J. Johnston; brothers, Jon Osborn and Bill J. Osborn; granddaughter, Kayla Osborn; grandson, Jimmy Cowman; and two nephews, Jeff and Jay Osborn.

In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Osborn; son, David Osborn; and grandson, Matthew J. Osborn.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with visitation from 5 p.m. to the time of service. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Riverside Cemetery in Noblesville.
