Actors Theatre of Indiana (ATI) will welcome a special guest for a talkback during the run of the production Lombardi, which will be presented from Oct. 29 through Nov. 21 at the Studio Theater inside The Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel.
Herrmann
Joining the entire cast following the Nov. 7 show will be former Carmel High School, Purdue record-setting, and NFL/Colts quarterback Mark Herrmann.
Herrmann was raised in Carmel where he played football and basketball for the Greyhounds. He was part of the state championship basketball team in 1977. He went on to Purdue where he has a record-setting career.
At Purdue, he was a first-team All-American and was named the Big Ten’s Most Valuable Player. He set the record at Purdue for the most career passing yards in the NCAA. He started and won three consecutive bowl games, won all three and was named Most Valuable Player in each. He still holds the Liberty Bowl record for passing touchdowns and was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
Herrmann went on to play in the NFL for 12 seasons, including time spent as Colts quarterback. After retiring as a player, he became the Associate Director of Educational Programs for the NCAA. He worked on the Indianapolis Colts broadcast crew for nearly a decade and now works as Director of Leadership and Alumni Engagement for the John Purdue Club and Purdue For Life Foundation.
Herrmann will join the cast of Lombardi in the Studio Theater on Nov. 7 to talk football and Coach Lombardi.

This Sunday talkback will be an excellent opportunity to speak directly with the cast about the play itself, as well as meet a local football great.
