Dear Editor,
My name is Bill Cook. Based on my experience in public service and knowing the character traits it takes to serve a community well, I am fully endorsing Robyn Cook as our next Jackson Township Trustee.
After serving on the Arcadia Town Council for 38 years, here are some key points I’ve learned:
- A person is elected to serve the community’s best interest, not a personal agenda. To do so, they must be able to create honest relationships in all areas.
- Their constituents, their fellow elected officials, their employees and even those from collaborative efforts need to be treated fairly and respectfully. They need to extend this relationship equally, to all they serve.
- Additionally, there should never be a question of honesty or transparency and one must always be a good steward of taxpayer dollars.
These qualities are a must for any successful and respected elected official. I see these qualities in Robyn Cook.
Over the last 18 years, Robyn and I have developed a successful working relationship, based on mutual respect and consideration. She has accomplished this with many leaders throughout our county. Not only does she have the experience and skills to carryout Trustee duties, she can do so by offering substantial and immediate savings to taxpayers. She always looks for collaborative and workable solutions for community needs and works persistently to achieve these goals. Her faith and community involvement are good representation of the kindness and compassion she will bring to those in need.
I wholeheartedly believe she is the best candidate for Jackson Township Trustee. Join me on May 8 as we Look to Cook to put the Trust in Trustee.
Bill Cook
