The IHSAA revealed the pairings for this year’s football sectionals Sunday afternoon.
The majority of Hamilton County teams are now playing in Class 6A, and the semi-final pairings for the four-team Sectionals 4 and 5 will feature some big rivalry games.
In Sectional 4, Carmel will travel to Noblesville. Westfield, playing in 6A for the first time, will go on the road to take on Lafayette Jefferson. Meanwhile, it will be a Mudsock semi-final in Sectional 5, as Fishers plays at Hamilton Southeastern.
Semi-final games in the 6A tournament will take place on Friday, Oct. 27, with the championship games on Nov. 3.
Two county teams are playing in Class 3A Sectional 26, which starts on Friday, Oct. 20 with first-round games. In the top half of the bracket, Hamilton Heights will travel to North Montgomery, while Guerin Catholic will host Brebeuf Jesuit.
Sheridan is playing in Class 1A Sectional 44. The Blackhawks host Tri-Central in their first round game, to take place Oct. 20.
