Effective on or after Tuesday, Sept. 4, Florida Road between Luxhaven Road and Martha Street will be closed for the rehabilitation of Bridge 192 (Florida Road over Fall Creek). The road is scheduled to be closed to all thru traffic and tentatively will open back up to traffic on or before Nov. 3.
Florida Road is currently under partial closure due to the Florida Road realignment project at 113th Street. This detour will remain in place.
In addition to the detour already in place, local traffic between the bridge and 113th Street will not be able to travel south on Florida Road, but will be required to use the signed detour through Intracoastal to access 113th Street. No thru traffic will be permitted through Intracoastal; only access to Luxhaven and Geist Park will be provided.
