Five parking lot robbers play games with their freedom

At 9:19 p.m. on Nov. 29, Noblesville police officers responded to the Best Buy, located at 17200 Mercantile Blvd., Noblesville, in reference to a report of a robbery.

Officers from the Noblesville Police Department responded immediately and were advised by dispatchers from the Hamilton County Communications Center that the suspects had fled the scene prior to police arrival. Several officers canvassed the area while other officers continued to the scene. Officers were unable to locate the alleged suspects.

Based on statements from witnesses, video footage and other evidence at the scene, it appears that five black males came into the business and walked around for a short period of time. It appears that the suspects left the business moments later, then confronted three victims in the parking lot as they were placing merchandise in their vehicle. The victims reported that the suspects demanded their merchandise and threatened to shoot them. The suspects made off with a gaming device and games, and the fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

Investigators from the criminal investigation division processed the crime scene and checked with nearby businesses for security video footage.
