Winter Wonderland presented by Fishers Elite Martial Arts has been rescheduled due to inclement weather. The event will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Sunday, Dec. 2 outdoors at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater, 6 Municipal Drive.
The annual tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m. A sensory-friendly area will also be available for children and families with special needs. Art in City Hall presented by Fishers Arts Council and Nickel Plate Arts will take place from 3:30 to 8 p.m. during the event.
Reservations scheduled for Saturday’s Pictures with Santa during Winter Wonderland will also be moved to Sunday (reservation times will remain the same). All reservations are currently full for Pictures with Santa.
Activities at the Hamilton East Public Library that were originally scheduled during the event will remain on Saturday.
The free, annual event features family-friendly winter fun at the newly renovated Nickel Plate District Amphitheater.
One of the city’s most popular events, Fishers Parks & Recreation offers expanded hours and more activities for the community at this year’s event, including children’s activities, ice carving demonstrations, a petting zoo, live music from Fishers Music Works, and more. The highlight of the evening, the annual tree lighting, will take place at 6 p.m. A sensory-friendly area will also be available for children and families with special needs.
The city of Fishers encourages attendees to donate new adult and children’s socks during the event to benefit the Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County.
